In the historic center of Cellino Attanasio, the former Church of Santo Spirito is now much more than a restored monument: it has become a vibrant place filled with events, gatherings, and creativity. Since the REVIVE project brought 14 young talents from all over Europe here, the building has been transformed into Santo Spirito HUB, a multifunctional cultural space open to the community.

The Regenerated Space
The historic building now seats over 60 people and serves as the ideal HUB for concerts, workshops, screenings, conferences, and creative activities. Outside, the church is surrounded by a revitalized garden, with scenic photo spots that enhance the panoramic view and the urban setting.

Events
The events held so far (and still ongoing) are numerous and diverse, reflecting the vitality of the space. Among the main ones:

  • Lady Spirit: Soul and Blues (June 2025)

Two evenings dedicated to soul, blues, and R&B music that turned the former church into an international stage.

  • Racconti Raccolti – Memory and Community (July 2025)

A public history event inspired by old school registers and local memories, creating shared narratives.

  • Baci dal Medioevo – Participatory Workshop and Book Presentation (July 2025)

With Ilaria Di Emidio and Claudia Petraroli, a meeting that combined art, writing, and community participation.

  • La Mula e un Altro Racconto (July 2025)

Presentation of Marco Taddei’s novel, with broad participation from local residents.

  • Ricette del Cavolo – Creative Workshop, Book and Exhibition (August 2025)

An afternoon featuring readings, a children’s workshop, and a themed exhibition.

  • Three Concerts at Santo Spirito Hub: Pop Meets Jazz, Basso Felpato and Nugara Trio (August 2025)

A musical evening with three different performances, confirming the HUB as an ideal venue for quality events.

  • Concert for Two Pianos (Abbazie Classica) (August 2025)

Opening event of the Abbazie Classica 2025 festival, featuring two outstanding pianists.

  • Piano Recital – Great German Works (August 2025)

The Santo Spirito Theatre hosted a recital featuring works by Bach, Beethoven, and Schumann.

  • October 2025 (Ongoing Events): Art, Music and Community at Santo Spirito Hub

A rich calendar of free events throughout the month, including concerts, workshops, and artistic performances designed to engage both residents and visitors.

These events demonstrate how Santo Spirito HUB is not just a renovated space but a living canvas where culture, memory, and participation intertwine.

Community Involvement
The role of the community has been and continues to be fundamental: citizens, associations, schools, families, and seniors have all played an active part. Workshops, intergenerational exhibitions, storytelling sessions, and shared creative moments have strengthened the sense of belonging, turning the project into a truly participatory experience.
The project’s website, blog, and social media channels document these activities daily and invite everyone to discover what happens within the HUB’s walls.

Future Challenges
The next step is ensuring continuity. The establishment of a stable calendar and the commitment of the Municipality, the Itaca Association, and local organizations are essential to ensure that this creative momentum does not remain episodic but becomes a permanent part of the area’s cultural fabric.
The goal is for Santo Spirito HUB to become a cultural hub for the region — a meeting point for events, ideas, and relationships, capable of attracting visitors and rediscovering the identity of Cellino Attanasio. All efforts are now focused on keeping this space alive over time.
